Peace Yoga Love teachers have all been lucky enough to do some training with John Ogilvie of Byron Yoga Centre and we are all qualified yoga teachers with appropriate insurance and first aid qualifications. We have in common our commitment to student experience, alignment focused teaching and our desire for ongoing study in our field. We all have our own favorite way of practicing and gifts to impart, with the common thread of our training - which adds a familiar thread through our quite different classes.
Vanessa started practicing yoga to beat corporate stress and calm the mind, and quickly became hooked. Studying yoga became a hobby, undertaking an initial 12-month course inspired by Iyengar’s lineage and the philosophy that yoga can be adapted to suit everyone. Since then, studies have included multiple kids yoga training and of particular interest, yoga therapy and nutrition.
Vanessa is inspired by her family, the amazing students, teachers and yoga community that live with laughter, compassion and a vivacious appetite for life.
Vanessa’s classes fuse gentle yet dynamic hatha-inspired poses, pranayama and meditation. And who doesn’t love a bolster class or a luscious yoga Nidra every now and again?
Her intention is that you leave her classes feeling reconnected with your inner wisdom, with a smile on your lips and compassion in your heart. For the world around you, but especially for yourself.
